In March-April 2020, I took Tamara's Academic Writing course in Nuuk (Greenland) and think it very beneficial. The teaching content and materials were relevant and easy to understand, and her teaching was lively and engaging. I enjoyed the course very much especially the one-to-one sessions which provided me a good opportunity to learn writing and editing skills while actually writing my paper. I therefore give the course my most sincere recommendation.

Tamara’s course was excellent and still benefits me. Tamara wrote our three books which I still use when I am writing. The course should be worth more ECTS points. Not only because of the work of the students but because of the work and dedication Tamara puts into the course.

I have had the pleasure of working professionally with Tamara for a couple of years now, and I can give her the best recommendation. She is a very engaging and inspirational instructor of the English language, highly committed to her vocation.

I attended Tamara's PhD Academic Writing course in Spring 2019, and I wish to give her my best recommendation. What I really liked about Tamara's course was the good interaction between Tamara's presentations, student participation and small assignments designed by Tamara for improving practical skills. I find that Tamara is a very engaged, qualified and supportive instructor. Adding to this, Tamara's guidance on my writing has been very helpful. Because of practical assignments and resources that were directly applicable in my own work, Tamara's course is probably one of the most relevant courses I've attended during my PhD-studies.  

The course exceeded my expectations, primarily due to Tamara’s fantastic teaching skills. Tamara created a welcoming learning environment. During class, we had group assignments that challenged things we learned. Tamara and I had a great and informative 1-1 session, in which she commented on my manuscript, and I learned how to write better. Now, I feel more confident in English writing with her helpful books.

I am a Ph.D. student and have been getting Academic Writing Coaching from Tamara for 1 year. Tamara has shown to be highly dedicated to helping me improve my writing to perfection. She gives helpful feedback and ensures that you as a student shows constant progress. Tamara is a great instructor who knows how to teach, maintain interest and meet the needs of the students. She does this while making the participants feel completely comfortable as they learn. She is always prepared and in a really good mood which makes it very nice to come to class. I took the course Academic Writing in English in the fall of 2020 at Aalborg University. The course was one of the most important and valuable for my PhD studies. The course had a perfect combination of theory and hands-on exercises, which made the course dynamic and concepts were quickly solidified by the exercises in the course material. Moreover, we had the chance to thoroughly examine our own papers together with Tamara, which really helped me write so that the manuscripts were concise and enjoyable to read.   Tamara is a pro-active teacher who is very present and tends to respond rather quickly with well thought out responses. Finally, the course material is extremely helpful, and I have been using it in my work whenever writing activities are performed. To conclude, I would highly recommend this course for people looking to improve their academic English.

Tamara is inspiring on both a professional and personal level. You are challenged to develop your English skills regardless of what you know in advance. Taking a lesson is like joining an interesting game. Both your written and oral presentation are improved and it does not even feel like an effort. This is the way you want to learn English. Great fun!

In the spring of 2020, I attended a course in Academic English at The University of Greenland in Nuuk where I am employed as an Assistant Professor and Ph.D.-student. The course focused on how to write academic English for journal articles. The course had a high academic level with good ‘hands on’ exercises as well as ‘take home’ and ‘ready to use’ advice. As a teacher, Tamara was both professional and warm hearted. I enjoyed the lessons very much. In the middle of the course, we were suddenly challenged as COVID-19 reached Nuuk and were sent home to a lockdown. We had to continue the rest of the course online. Tamara made that transition very smooth and professional. Despite the unfortunate circumstances we finished the course in a satisfying way. I give Tamara my very best recommendation.

Tamara is a lovely person and teacher. She has a very infectious humor that makes learning both fun and educational.

There is a focus on the didactic variation between teaching and in-class tasks which works really well. Assignments during the course are based on the individual students’ scientific papers and makes the course so much more relevant to the participants.

I highly recommend Tamara's Academic Writing Course. Even though I went to the course with a strong background in English, the course helped me tremendously. The course is well structured and touched upon all necessary aspects for well-written academic text. All materials distributed by Tamara (which she wrote herself) are high quality. Moreover, Tamara's years of experience proved invaluable as she gave extremely helpful tips, do's and don’ts and other information that is useful for both manuscripts and communicating with journals. Tamara is a great teacher and being part of the class was interactive and fun.
